The National Food Industry Strategy (or NFIS) is an industry-led company funded by the Australian Government to be 'change agents' in the Australian food industry. In doing so, the NFIS is working to a national strategy for the food industry and we are guided by the National Food Industry Council which is a committee comprising experts from the food industry and relevant government and research organisations and five Commonwealth Government Ministers. The National Food Industry Strategy was put together by industry for industry to assist Australian food businesses to realise greater efficiencies and productivity and to increase exports of Australian food around the world.
