With more than ten years experience, the Centre for Online Health (COH) is well recognised for its role in academic research and teaching in the field of telehealth and e-Healthcare.

The COH is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Queensland. The overall goal is to research and develop best practice models in online health care that are applicable to Australia and other countries.

The Centre's main areas of activity are:

• research in the areas of telehealth and homecare
• teaching about online health
• the delivery of online health services.

On a daily basis, the COH demonstrates important synergies research and service delivery by providing a stimulating and receptive environment to examine and better understand the role of telehealth as a method of deliverying health services. These services are ultimately designed for the benefit of patients, their families and clinicians.

The COH team comprises a broad skill mix which brings together clinicians, academic researchers, educators, technicians, engineers and administrators.
