Canberra Private Schools introduces St Mary's College Toowoomba in Toowoomba, for all your education and learning needs.
St Mary’s College is a Catholic school for boys from year 5 to 12 and was founded in 1899. It has a long and proud tradition and history in Toowoomba where the contributions of many Old Boys to the life of the community are respected and valued. Especially important to us is the tradition and legacy of the Christian Brothers. They administered the college for 97 years and modeled a life of faith and service to generations of young men as they were formed through the education they received in partnership with parents.
The College has playing fields adjoining the Campus located in Hill Street. The playing fields consist of one rugby league field and a soccer field. There are practice cricket nets together with tennis courts. The most recent addition to the resources available for the students in the sporting area is the newly constructed Two Court National Standard Indoor Sports Complex operated and constructed by the St Mary's College Old Boys' Association.
St Mary's College as an educational community fosters Christian living in the Catholic tradition. The community is committed to developing a welcoming spirit through which all community members are encouraged and challenged to develop as children of God. The College reaches out to students from diverse backgrounds.
The College motto “Conanti Corona”; “The crown goes to the one who tries”, is foundational to life at the College and so we value participation and effort above achievement, sportsmanship above winning, and service rather than personal gratification. The school vision that we have developed from this motto provides the platform for examining all of life and learning at St Mary’s.
“To Support…..To Strive Together…..To Succeed”
Welcome to St Mary's College Toowoomba one of the popular educators in your Toowoomba area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
