Canberra Private Schools introduces St Joseph's School in Waroona, for all your education and learning needs.
St Joseph’s School, as an integral part of the Waroona Catholic Community, is inspired by Christ’s teachings. We endeavour to nurture all children to grow as confient, independent, life-long learners, enabling them to contribute to society with dignity, respect and a spirit of service.
Our school recognises the importance of the Sisters of St Joseph in our past, present and future. The first sisters to teach at St Joseph’s left such an indelible legacy that the Staff chose to remember them by naming our sports teams after them: Leah, Claude and Elizabeth.
We also honour their commitment, courage and faith by using wood from the first blackboards used by these sisters, as the material for the Josephite Cross, now proudly hanging in our new Administration area. The cross was made by Mr John (Jack) Race in 1997, in time for the official opening of the Administration Block in 1998.
Welcome to St Joseph's School one of the popular educators in your Waroona area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
