Canberra Private Schools introduces Rural Health West in Nedlands, for all your education and learning needs.

Rural Health West facilitates the access of rural and remote GPs and other health professionals to a range of high-quality educational opportunities including:

  • Rural Doctors Broadcasts
  • Weekend Conferences
  • Education Workshops


Where possible all educational opportunities are accredited by both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). Many are also approved for the Training for Rural and Remote Procedural GPs Program grant. GPs must contact their relevant college before attending education if they wish to apply for the grant.

Rural Health West’s Education Steering Committee, established in 2009, to assist with the development of a more strategic focus to education and continuing professional development (CPD) provides clinical governance on the content and program curricula for a range of education events. Committee members represent a number of organisations and disciplines that also have a focus on rural and remote GP education; including The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCS); Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP); Western Australian General Practice Education and Training Ltd (WAPGET); Emergency Medicine; Western Australian General Practice Network; and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
