Canberra Private Schools introduces John Calvin School Albany in Albany, for all your education and learning needs.
The Albany John Calvin School (Est.1962) is a P to 10 school which upholds Biblical truths and values. The school is affiliated with the Free Reformed Churches of Australia which have, as a central tenet of their confessions, the belief that God has established a covenant of grace with believers and their children.
The students that attend the AJCS are viewed as God's children, precious in His eyes. A Special Education program is offered for those students that require it. The staff sincerely endeavours to conduct themselves in keeping with God's Word and to instruct all students accordingly, aiming to realise this in the subjects offered, the manner in which they are taught, as well as in their personal interaction with students. Students are encouraged to use and develop their God-given talents, and yet, while academic achievement is important, the school views the aim of education as deeper than that.
The education at AJCS must, as an integral part of the instruction of the covenant and in subjection to the Word of God, help to optimally equip them for their service to God and to their neighbour. The school prepares students for post-school life as responsible Christian citizens and living members of Christ's church.
Welcome to John Calvin School Albany one of the popular educators in your Albany area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
